There’s a room tucked away in Shoreditch that feels suspiciously like someone’s front room.

Except someone gave the front room

 its own bar.

Welcome to The Little Neon Door.

We’re taking over the Games Room

 and filling it with single people who probably wouldn’t have met otherwise.

Your first drink is waiting when you arrive.

Then, much like every good house party, the plan gets considerably less specific.

Someone will say hello, you’ll end up joining another conversation.

Someone will suggest a game with people you didn’t know twenty minutes ago,

and at some point, you forget you came to an event at all.

20 minutes later I knew half the room.

Who's in the room?

Some people arrive with someone they know. Most arrive knowing nobody.

By the end of the evening, it becomes surprisingly difficult to tell which was which (which is kind of the point).

Everyone in the room has already done the slightly unusual bit:

they decided they’d rather spend a Thursday evening meeting people in real life than looking at another profile on a screen.

We just put them all in the same room and help them meet.

What the night actually feels like.

You'll be welcomed by our hosts and settled in without any fuss.

They'll be around throughout the night, helping conversations along where needed.

There’ll be drinks at the bar,

games around the room and a few of our question cards floating about.

Nothing timed or structured.

Nobody moving tables every seven minutes.

It's the kind where you arrive knowing one person, or nobody,

and somehow end up in the kitchen talking to someone you met twelve minutes ago.

Except we don't have a kitchen.

We have a bar. Much better.

No pressure to work the room.

Just arrive on time. Grab your drink.

Say hello to someone, and the rest tends to take care of itself.
